Who is Michelle Larbey?
Teacher, Senior Advisor, Phonics Advocate, Keynote Speaker and Mummy. Michelle wears lots of hats, but only one set of BookWings. In her journey as the creator of the Phonic Fairy, Michelle has spent years teaching and consulting for schools, local authorities, and universities. From humble beginnings in rural Lancashire, she made a promise to her Mum at the age of 12 that she would become an expert in teaching children to read, and she has done just that, working at Cambridge University tutoring PGCE students in the highest standards of educational research. After creating her award-winning synthetic phonics programme ‘StoryTime Phonics’ Michelle has touched the hearts of thousands of children who have benefitted from her magical multisensory approach to learning, which has inspired her to launch her BookWings Phonic Fairy APP and make her incredible teaching style accessible to all.
